The nurses have been running puppy parties at Brookfield for over a year now, and so our first lot of attendees are now returning for their annual boosters.
It is obvious for all to see which puppies attended as they come bounding in through the door, dragging their owners behind them and looking for the nearest member of staff to smother.
We hold at least one puppy party a month and the puppies, owners and nurses have a great time.
Although it seems like one big game to the pups it is also addressing the much overlooked issue of socialisation. They are able to mix with dogs of all breeds and sizes, and we also encourage clients to bring their children along so they have a chance to meet with people of all ages too. |
Whilst the rough and tumble is going on the owners have a chance to discuss the trials and tribulations which accompany puppy hood, they often find that the other owners are experiencing the same problems and the nurses are on hand to offer advice.

The parties are rounded off by a tour of the usually unseen parts of the practice including the operating theatre and hospitalisation facilities. This gives you the opportunity to see the range of facilities this practice has to offer.
To ensure the puppies continue to enjoy their visits to the practice we recommend that the parties are followed up by monthly health checks with a nurse; these are free of charge. During these we will check your puppy's weights, and discuss the on-going health care that is needed, such as regular worming, flea control, nutrition and oral hygiene.
The parties are open to puppies that have had their first vaccine up until 16 weeks of age; we highly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity.
For more information or to book your puppy in please visit us or telephone the practice. |
